Noch vor
dem Sonnenaufgang über Salina etwas vor 7 Uhr war ich kurz wach, schoss einige
Fotos und kroch wieder unter die Laken...
I woke up before sunrise over Salina a little before 7 am, shot some photos and crawled back under the sheets...

Stunden später galt es dann doch ernst und ich suchte joggend eine Mulattiera
(schmale mit Steinen versetzte Wege, die ursprünglich für die Maulesel als Transporttiere
gebaut wurden), die mich ans Meer führte. Zuerst ging es ziemlich steil
bergabwärts und dann der Küste im Südostzipfels Filicudis entlang. Auch hier
(wie auf Panarea und Salina) hat es prähistorische Ausgrabungen. Als der Küstenweg
sich im Gebüsch zerstreute, suchte ich einen Platz zum Schwimmen - ganz eins
mit der Natur, so wie sie mich erschaffen hat! : )
1 1/2 hours later, it was serious and I searched jogging for a mulattiera (narrow stone path, which originally were built for the mules as transport animals), which led me to the ocean. First it went rather steeply downhill and then along the coast in the south-eastern tip of Filicudi. Here too (as on Panarea and Salina) there are prehistoric excavations. When the coastal path dispersed in the bushes, I looked for a place to go for a swim - all one with nature the way I was created! : )

Seit
meinem letzten Quallenangriff auf Lipari achte ich besser darauf, was sich im
Meer so bewegt... trotzdem streifte mich eine leicht! Zurück am Ufer konnte ich
die filigranen Kreaturen im klaren Wasser deutlich beobachten und sogar
ablichten - wie schön!
Zurück im Hotel La Canna genoss ich ein fantastisches Frühstück mit herrlichem Brot und selbstgemachten Marmeladen von Grazia.
Ever since my last jellyfish attack on Lipari, I've been paying more attention to what's moving in the sea... yet one stroke me easily! Back on the shore, I could observe the filigree creatures perfectly in the clear water and even take photos - how beautiful!
Back at the Hotel La Canna I enjoyed a fantastic breakfast with delicious bread and homemade jam and marmalade by Grazia.

Uhr kam Renato mit der Sirnave aus Napoli an, er war 12 Stunden unterwegs um
einen Ferientag mit mir zu verbringen... : )) Wir machten eine Stippvisite im archäologischen
Museum, kauften etwas fürs Mittagessen ein und mieten bei CENF ein Boot für den
Tag - die beste und schönste Art Filicudi zu erkunden, da vieles auch hier nur
per Boot erreichbar ist! Wir badeten immer wieder im warmen kristallklaren
Meer, fuhren in die Grotta del Bue Marino hinein, wo in dem 80-er Jahren noch
Mönchsrobben lebten, und schwammen zum Scioglio della Canna. Die markante
Felsnadel La Canna mit seinen 71 Metern ist die höchste des Äolischen Archipels
und Renato zitierte folgende Legende: La Canna ist der erigierte Penis des
Poseidon (gr.) / Neptun (röm.), der am Meeresboden liegt und erotische Träume
hat... ; ))

At noon Renato arrived with
Sirnave from Napoli, he was 12 hours on the way to spend a day of vacation with
me... : )) We paid a short visit to the archaeological museum, bought something
for lunch and rented a boat for the day with CENF - the best and most beautiful
way to explore Filicudi, since much of it is only accessible by boat! We bathed
again and again in the warm crystal clear sea, drove into the Grotta del Bue
Marino, where in the 80-s still monk seals lived, and swam to Scioglio della
Canna. The striking La Canna with its 71 metres is the highest pinnacle in the
Aeolian archipelago and Renato quoted the following legend: La Canna is the
erect penis of Poseidon (gr.) / Neptune (rom.), lying on the bottom of the sea
and having erotic dreams... ; ))
