Den heutigen Tag startete ich mit Joggen am langen Strand - barfuss und im Bikini: der strahlend blaue Himmel lud mich geradewegs dazu ein! Als ich zum Schwimmen in die Fluten stieg, war ich ganz überrascht, wie warm das Wasser noch war! : )

Heute gönnte ich mir einen Ferientag: Nach einem ausgiebigen Frühstück mit Prosecco legte ich mich auf einen Liegestuhl an den Strand zum Verdauen und etwas Bräunen. Im Lido Arcobaleno, gegenüber vom Hotel, stehen für die Hotelgäste Liegestühle und Sonnenschirme bereit. Bei 30 Grad genoss ich einen richtigen Sommertag.

I started my day with jogging on the long beach - barefoot and in bikini: the bright blue sky invited me literally to it! When I went for a swim, I was surprised how warm the water still was! : )

Today I treat myself to a holiday: After a hearty breakfast with Prosecco I took a beach chair for digesting and tanning a bit. At Lido Arcobaleno, opposite the hotel, sun loungers and parasols are provided for hotel guests. With 30 centigrade, I enjoyed a real summer day.

Um 16 Uhr fuhr ich mit Lorenzo und dem Shuttlebus des Hotels in die Stadt. Auf meinem Flug nach Sizilien hatte ich Annamaria kennen gelernt, sie stammt ursprünglich aus Catania, lebt aber schon fast ihr ganzes Leben in der Schweiz. Wie verabredet trafen wir uns gegenüber der Villa Bellini im alteingesessenen Pasticceria Salvia, wo einst ihr Grossvater arbeitete... Wie wir bereits am Dienstag bemerkt hatten, hatten wir Gesprächsstoff ohne Ende und so verging der unterhaltsame und vergnügliche Nachmittag im Nu...

At 4 pm I drove into town with Lorenzo and the hotel's shuttle bus. On my flight to Sicily I had met Annamaria, she is originally from Catania but lives almost all her life in Switzerland. As agreed we met opposite the Villa Bellini at the old-established Pasticceria Salvia, where once her grandfather used to work... As we had already noticed on Tuesday, we had topics for never-ending conversations and so the entertaining and enjoyable afternoon passed in no time...

Zum Abendessen setzten wir uns draussen an einen Tisch des Restaurants Materiaprima und genossen weitere sizilianische Köstlichkeiten... Als ich auf den öffentlichen Bus wartete, der abends nur noch jede Stunde fährt, überraschte mich Lorenzo vom Hotel und ich genoss einen Spezialservice zurück zum Hotel. : )

For dinner, we went to the restaurant Materiaprima and enjoyed even more Sicilian delicacies... When I waited for the public bus to go back to the hotel, which only runs every hour at night, Lorenzo from the hotel surprised me and I enjoyed a special service back to the hotel. : )
