Gestern Abend als ich an meinem Blog arbeitete, bemerkte ich, dass mein Ladekabel nicht mehr funktionierte! Es lag definitiv nicht an den Steckern in meinem Zimmer, denn mein Telefon wurde aufgeladen... Zudem war es Sonntag heute und wenn etwas offen war, sicher nicht vor 9 Uhr! Ich telefonierte mit Fortunato, den ich am Freitag Abend beim Autostopp kennengelernt hatte, und er stand eine halbe Stunde später mit seinem Auto vor dem Hotel. Natürlich war ich gerade beim Frühstück, aber das super nette Personal des Petit Hotels hob es für mich auf...

Last night when I was working on my blog, I noticed that my charging cable was not working anymore! It definitely was not the plugs in my room, because my phone was charging... In addition it was Sunday today and if something was open, certainly not before 9 am! I called Fortunato, whom I had met hitchhiking Friday evening, and he was standing in front of the hotel half an hour later with his car. Of course I was just having breakfast, but the super nice staff of the Petit Hotel put it away for me...

Um 10 Uhr trafen wir beim Multimediashop Bruno im Centro Commerciale Corolla ein und der nette Giorgianni fand alles, was ich benötigte! Glücklich verliess ich das Einkaufszentrum und Fortunato brachte mich zurück zum Hotel, wo ich die andere Hälfte des Frühstücks genoss und meinen Laptop auflud. : ))

Nachdem ich wenigstens meine Fotos bearbeitet hatte (gestern schoss ich viele und die Arbeit an meinen Reiseblogs beansprucht 2 - 3 Stunden Arbeit pro Tag!), machte ich mich auf mit meinem Gepäck die paar Meter zur Liberty Line. - Nun war ich echt bereit für die Insel! ; )

At 10 am we arrived at the multimedia shop Bruno in the Centro Commerciale Corolla and lovely Giorgianni found everything I needed! Happily I left the mall and Fortunato drove me back to the hotel, where I enjoyed the other half of my breakfast and charged my laptop. : ))

After I had at least edited my photos (yesterday I shot many and the work on my travel blogs takes 2 - 3 hours of work per day!), I set out with my luggage a few meters to the Liberty Line. - Now I was definitely ready for the island! ; )

Nach knapp einer Stunde Überfahrt mit dem Tragflügelboot von Milazzo, kam ich um 13:10 in Porto Levante in Vulcano an, die erste der 7 Äolischen oder Liparischen Inseln. Dort wurde ich vom Hotelbus abgeholt und ins wunderschöne Hotel Garden geführt. Bis mein Zimmer bereit war, machte ich es mir mit Arbeit draussen an der Bar gemütlich...

It took less than an hour's ride on the hydrofoil from Milazzo to Porto Levante on Vulcano, the first of the 7 Aeolian Islands, where I arrived at 1:10 pm. There I was picked up by the hotel bus and driven to the beautiful Hotel Garden. Until my room was ready, I made myself comfortable with work outside at the bar...

Dann richtete ich mich in meinem hübschen grossen Zimmer ein und los ging es auf einen Spaziergang um die nähere Umgebung auszukundschaften... mir viel auf, dass es viele Touristen (hoffentlich nur für den Tag!?) hatte...

Then I made myself home in my lovely big room and took a walk to scout the surrounding area... I noticed that there were many tourists (hopefully just for the day!?)…

An der Spiaggia delle Sabbie Nere im Sunset Beach bei Ricardo war es gemütlich bis die unsagbar vielen Moskitos angriffen - die blutrünstigen Biester attackierten alle, eingesprayt oder nicht - und wir hüpften alle herum, als ob wir einen neuen Moskitotanz kreieren würden! ; ))

 

Zurück im Garden Hotel setzte ich mich draussen auf die Terrasse und genoss das letzte Abendessen der Saison - unglaublich, dass vieles bei diesem herrlichen Sommerwetter (am Tag 27, nachts 24 Grad) schliesst! - Egal, ich genoss meine Scampi und das Ofengemüse mit dem vorzüglichen Donna allo Specchio Weisswein der Insel...

At Sunset Beach with Ricardo at Spiaggia delle Sabbie Nere, it was cozy until inexpressible many mosquitoes showed up - the bloodthirsty beasts attacked everybody, protected with repellent or not - and we all hopped around as if we were creating a new mosquito dance! ; ))

 

Back at the Garden Hotel I took a table outside on the terrace and enjoyed the last dinner of the season there - unbelievable that so many places close with the wonderful summer weather (during the day 27, at night 24 centigrade)! - Anyway, I enjoyed my scampi and the oven vegetables with an excellent Donna allo Specchio white wine of the island...
