Ich hab
wundervoll geschlafen im obersten Stock des Hotel Amarea mit der Balkontür
offen und dem Geräusch der Wellen... ich glaub hier oben gibt es keine Mücken!?
I slept wonderfully on the top floor of the Hotel Amarea with the balcony door open and the sound of the waves... I think there are no mosquitoes up here!?

Um 10:30 Uhr
begab ich mich zum grossen Frühstücksbuffet, das man hier bis 11 Uhr geniessen
kann - ganz nach meinem Geschmack! : ) Dazu setzte ich mich draussen auf die
kleine Terrasse (nach dem Hotel Garden auf Vulcano erscheint alles klein!). Das
Hotel Amarea ist klein aber fein und gehört zur Aeolian Charme Gruppe wie das
Hotel Garden. Über kleine Seitengassen gelangt man zur Garibaldi Marina, die
dem ca. 1,5 km langen Kieselstrand entlang führt mit Aussicht auf die
Nachbarinseln Panarea und Stromboli. Ich sehe die Inseln übrigens auch von
meinem winzigen Balkon. : )
At 10:30 am I went to the big breakfast buffet, which you can enjoy until 11 am - exactly the way I like it! : ) I took it outside on the small terrace (after the Hotel Garden on Vulcano everything seems small!). The Hotel Amarea is small but oh my and belongs to the Aeolian Charme Group like the Hotel Garden. Small alleyways lead to the Garibaldi Marina, which parallels the 1.5 km pebble beach with views to the neighbouring islands of Panarea and Stromboli. Incidentally, I also see the islands from my tiny balcony. : )

Das
Wetter ist einfach perfekt auf den Äolischen Inseln zu dieser Jahreszeit: 27
Grad tagsüber und 24 in der Nacht. So verbrachte ich den Nachmittag am
Strand... Das Hotel stellt seinen Gästen Liegestühle und Sonnenschirme zur
Verfügung - zwar in der 2. Reihe (ausser man bezahlt + EUR 5), aber es war eh
egal, da es nicht viele Leute hatte...
The weather is just perfect on the Aeolian Islands at this time of the year: 27 centigrade during the day and 24 at night. So I spent the afternoon on the beach... The hotel provides its guests with sun loungers and umbrellas - admittedly in the 2nd row (unless you pay + EUR 5), but it did not matter anyway, as there were not a lot of people…

Am
späteren Nachmittag nahm ich den Bus nach Lipari Stadt, wo ich 10 Minuten später
eintraf. Zuerst schlenderte ich der Fussgängerzone Via Vittorio Emanuele mit
seinen vielen hübschen Nebengassen entlang... sooo schön - und hier gibt es
alles!
In the later afternoon I took the bus to town, which is also called Lipari and where I arrived 10 minutes later. First, I strolled along the pedestrian area Via Vittorio Emanuele with its many pretty side streets... sooo beautiful - and you can find everything!
Als ich
an der Martina Corta ankam, verschlug es mir fast die Sprache! Hier entschloss
ich meinen Apero und das Abendessen einzunehmen: Zuerst ein Glas Malvasia
bianco secco der Insel bei Gilberto e Vera (4. Generation seit 1870) und dann
Gamberoni (Scampi) mit Parmigiana (überbackene Auberginen) im Ristorante
Nenzyna... besser kann man es sich fast nicht wünschen! : ))

When I arrived at the
Martina Corta, it almost left me speechless! I decided to have my appetizer and
dinner here: first a glass of Malvasia bianco secco of the island at Gilberto e
Vera (4th generation since 1870) and then Gamberoni (scampi) with Parmigiana
(baked aubergines) at the Ristorante Nenzyna... it could not get better! : ))
