Heute wachte ich schon früh auf - vielleicht wollte ich einfach nur den fantastischen Ausblick ein letztes Mal geniessen? - Arbeit habe ich eh immer, die ich tatsächlich lieber in einem wunderschönen Ambiente verrichte... bei Espresso, Tee und meditativer Musik ist es einfach nur ideal! : )

Today I woke up early - maybe I just wanted to enjoy the fantastic view one last time? - I always have work, which I actually prefer to do in a beautiful ambience... with espresso, tea and meditative music it is just perfect! : )

Nach dem Frühstück verabschiedete ich mich von Federica des Il Gabbiano Relais und wurde von einem etwas verschlafenen aber humorvollen Paolo und seinem Taxi abgeholt. Auf dem Weg zum Hafen machten wir einen Halt auf der Piazza San Vincenzo - diesmal bei Tag - wo ich meine Fotokamera herausholte und Paolo eine seiner vielen Freundinnen (die nichts davon wissen) im Ritrovo Ingrid besuchte. ; )

After breakfast I said goodbye to Federica of the Il Gabbiano Relais and was picked up by a sleepy but humorous Paolo and his taxi. On the way to the harbour, we made a stop at the Piazza San Vincenzo - this time by day - where I grabbed my camera and Paolo visited one of his many girl-friends (who do not know about it) at the Ritrovo Ingrid. ; )

Um 11:30 Uhr erreichten wir den Hafen von Stromboli, ich kaufte mir ein Ticket nach Salina und Fabrizio überraschte mich um sich von mir zu verabschieden. 20 Minuten später lief das Liberty Lines Tragflügelboot aus und ebensoviel später machten wir einen kurzen Zwischenhalt auf Panarea. Die Fahrtstrecke zwischen allen Äolischen Inseln beträgt übrigens 20 - 30 Minuten.

At 11:30 we reached the port of Stromboli, I bought a ticket to Salina and Fabrizio surprised me to say goodbye to me. 20 minutes later the Liberty Lines hydrofoil left and the same time later we made a brief stop on Panarea. By the wa, the distances between all the Aeolian Islands is 20-30 minutes.

Kurz vor 13 Uhr liefen wir im Hafen von Santa Maria auf Salina ein. Ich schnappte mir ein Taxi und Mirco fuhr mich die 800 m zum Hotel La Goletta di Salina. Die Taxipreise sind eher unverschämt: EUR 12 bezahlte ich, aber was will ich, wenn ich mit meinem Liebhaber im grossen und dem Büro im kleinen Koffer unterwegs bin!? ; )

Shortly before 1pm we arrived at the port of Santa Maria on Salina. I took a taxi and Mirco drove me 800 m to the hotel La Goletta di Salina. The taxi prices are rather outrageous: I paid EUR 12, but what can I do travelling with my lover in the big and the office in the small suitcase? ; )

Sonia im Hotel La Goletta di Salina half mir mit dem Gepäck die Treppe rauf zu meinem hübschen Zimmer, wo ich mich für die kommenden 4 Nächte einrichtete: Alles kam mal wieder aus dem Koffer an die frische Luft und den Sack voll Wäsche erledigte ich auch gleich...

Sonia at the Hotel La Goletta di Salina helped me with my luggage up the stairs to my lovely room, where I installed myself for the next 4 nights: I took everything out of my suitcase to the fresh air and the bag of laundry was washed right away...

Nachdem ich die Arbeit an meinem Blog beendet hatte (diesmal sicher 3 Stunden mit den vielen Fotos vom gestrigen energiereichen Tag der ebensolchen Insel Stromboli!), machte ich mich auf dem Kiesel- oder besser gesagt Steinstrand entlang Richtung Zentrum. Immer Stromboli, Panarea und Lipari in Sichtweite erreichte ich den schmucken Dorfplatz Piazza Santa Maria. Hier gab es erst einmal einen Apero: Ein Glas Franciacorta in der einladenden Lounge Le Papagayo - dazu wurde eine ganze Palette Köstlichkeiten inklusive der berühmten Kapern Salinas serviert! : )

After finishing the work on my blog (this time it took me certainly 3 hours with the many photos from yesterday's energetic day on the just the same island of Stromboli!), I took a walk along the pebble or better said stone beach towards the centre. Always Stromboli, Panarea and Lipari in sight I reached the neat village square Piazza Santa Maria. Here I had an appetizer: a glass of Franciacorta in the inviting Lounge Le Papagayo - served with a whole range of delicacies including the famous capers of Salina! : )

Danach schlenderte ich durchs Städtchen - wie hübsch! Es ist eine Mischung aller Äolischer Inseln bisher. Durch eine enge Gasse ging es dann bergauf zum Ristorante Mamma Santina, das ich ohne mein App maps.me (das übrigens auch offline funktioniert) kaum gefunden hätte... Hier im farbenfrohen Ambiente und dem grossartigen Personal (inkl. Chef!) liess ich es mir so richtig gut gehen! - Obwohl es auf Salina energietechnisch bedeutend ruhiger ist als auf Stromboli: Was für Einstieg! : ))

Then I strolled through town - how pretty! It is a mixture of all the Aeolian Islands so far. Through a narrow path I went uphill to the Ristorante Mamma Santina, which I would hardly have found without my app maps.me (which also works offline)... Here in the colourful atmosphere and absolutely great staff (incl. the boss!) I had myself treated fantastically! - Although it is energy-wise significantly calmer on Salina than on Stromboli: What a great start! : ))
